Event Website › Website Design › Layout & Paging is where you arrange your site: the order of its sections, which page each one is on, and how each one looks. Changes save automatically.
Order and Visibility
- Drag a section's tile to move it up or down, or onto another page.
- Untick visible to hide a section without losing anything in it.
- The pencil renames a section's heading on the site.
- A section with nothing in it yet says so on its tile and stays off the site until you add content.
Pages
Your site can be one long page or several. Home always comes first, carries the hero, and cannot be moved or deleted. Click New Page for another: it gets its own address and its own link in the top navigation, and you drag into it whichever sections belong there. Deleting a page moves its sections back to the bottom of Home.
Styling a Section
Every tile has a Customize chip. It opens the section with a real preview of it, rendered by your site, not a sample.
- Theme & Color: Light, Soft, Dark or Custom (a solid color or a gradient). Background Image puts a photo behind the section, with an overlay and zoom.
- Section Height sets the space above and below its content.
- Bottom Edge sets how it meets the section below: None, a Hairline, or a Blend that fades one color into the next.
- Click Apply to keep the change.
Header, Register Button and Animation
- The Header row styles the navigation bar, the same on every page. Its Register Button is the button at the right end of the navigation; see Where Your Buttons Go.
- Scroll Animation at the bottom sets how sections appear as visitors scroll: None, Fade in, Rise up, Zoom in, Blur in or Slide in.
