One card does two jobs in the app: it lists the attendee in the directory so people can message them, and it becomes the QR others scan to save their contact. This page decides whether the app asks for it the first time somebody opens it.
The switch
- On: the first time someone opens the app they are invited to set up their card. They can skip it, and a quiet prompt stays on the Home screen for anyone who does.
- Off: nobody is asked. People can still set a card up from the app whenever they want.
The preview beside the switch is the real app, so you can see exactly what the invitation looks like before you decide.
When to leave it on
Leave it on for any event where attendees are meant to meet each other. The directory and QR Contact Scan both depend on people having a card, and the first open is the one moment you have their attention. It takes under a minute and nothing is shared until they choose to share it.
