Hotel Rooming: How It Works

Hotel Rooming lets attendees book a room out of your contracted block while they register. You enter the blocks your contract gives you, they pick their nights on the registration form, and you send the hotel a rooming list at the end. No room is ever charged here.

The Hotels page under Hotel Rooming: tiles counting hotels, room nights, picked up and remaining, above a card listing each host hotel with its blocks, pickup and who it is offered to

The shape of it

  • A hotel is one property you have a contract with. Each carries its own blocks, stay rules and questions.
  • A room block is one room type over a run of nights, with a room count for each night and a nightly rate.
  • A booking belongs to a registration. It is not an order line, so it never appears on a receipt total.
  • Pickup is how many rooms have gone from each night. Attendees only ever see what is left.

Two different hotel sections

Hotel Rooming › Hotels is the bookable block described here. Basic Event Content › Hotels is the list of recommended hotels that appears on your event website, with links and rates but nothing to book. Most events use one or the other; a few use both.
